Pellak recently completed an addition for us on a home that we thought would be our starter home but we loved the neighborhood too much to leave. They were probably the 6th or 7th contractor we met with and pretty much after our first meeting with Bryan, we knew they were the right choice. Their process: Design agreement- contract-build felt very intentional and we never felt like we were saying yes to anything before we had a good sense of the cost. The whole team ( Drew, Bryan, and Jessica) was helpful and provided great insight and ideas during the design phase. We really appreciated their expertise. Once construction began Shane was in constant communication about the plan for the day and week. Drew was onsite frequently to check the quality of the work. We also appreciated Drew’s deep understanding of all things construction. We trusted that his advice was always well thought out and in our best interest. As construction went on and we started to see things in real life we realized we wanted to adjust a few things. These requests were always met with grace and the change order process was seamless. As the project wrapped we knew exactly what the final cost would be, no surprises. They finished on time and on budget and we are so happy with the finished product. I mentally and emotionally prepared myself for the renovation process to be stressful but honestly by the end I was surprised that it was easier and less painful than I had expected. We will definitely be back to work with Pellak when we are ready for our next project.

Pellak delivered a complex renovation on time, on budget, and beyond expectations.

We hired Pellak Construction for a major renovation that included structural repairs, a full kitchen remodel, and multiple bathroom updates. From the beginning, Drew and Bryan stood out by offering both a clear plan and a realistic estimate — something we didn’t get from other companies we spoke with.

The project itself was complex. Our floors had sagged due to poor renovations in the past, and Pellak corrected the issues by reinforcing some joists, rerouting others to accommodate plumbing, and adding vertical supports per an engineer’s recommendations. We also had to add a second HVAC system, which could have caused serious delays, but Drew helped us choose the right system, line up the contractor, and keep everything on schedule.

On the design side, Jess brought creative ideas that transformed the house. She helped us design three bathrooms and a beautiful fireplace surround. Her best idea was rethinking how to open the kitchen to the dining room: instead of losing storage, she designed a wall of cabinetry with glass doors on both sides. It’s now a striking focal point that also connects the spaces beautifully.

Throughout the project, Shane (project manager) and Mike (lead carpenter) were on site, keeping the work moving and keeping us informed. Despite some early delays with permits and HVAC decisions, the rest of the project stayed organized and on track. The craftsmanship is excellent, and our home is now stronger, more comfortable, and more beautiful. We’ve already had plenty of compliments — and a few jealous friends. We’d gladly recommend Pellak Construction, especially for complex projects that need both skill and coordination.

Our modestly-sized Cape Cod was reaching its bursting point with 4 of us in the house and we were looking to expand. Pellak was local, and we got a great sense from meeting the team that this was the partner for us.

We were presented with multiple options upon meeting in their showroom in Springfield. The care and attention to detail was immediately apparent as we worked together to provide feedback and options were discussed. Once largely finalized, we waited a bit before committing. As soon as we did, construction was quickly underway.

We were provided with a high-level, week-over-week project plan and what was scheduled as a 12-13 week plan remained a 12-13 week plan. Every employee and subcontractor treated our home as if it were their own. Any issues (there weren't many, and nothing major) were immediately discussed and resolved. They were quick to accommodate change orders and still delivered everything right on schedule.

We couldn't be happier with the final product and would hire Pellak again in a heartbeat!

We had already used Pellak Construction two years ago to give us a new garage/mudroom/half bath addition to our 1920's home. We were so pleased with all aspects of the project that we knew we'd hire them again when it came to renovating our kitchen space. As in many older homes, our kitchen was quite small and narrow, with an awkward layout for more than one person cooking, outdated cabinets, inadequate counter space and limited storage. The adjacent dining room, however, was larger than we needed, dark, and rarely used. Working in collaboration with Pellak's excellent designer, we came up with a plan that addressed all of these issues, starting with knocking down the wall between the two spaces. Through permitting, demolition, construction, installation and final inspections, the entire Pellak team was professional, responsive to questions, and their workmanship was impressive. We now have a new space that meets all of our needs, with plenty of workspace, tons of storage, and is a wonderful addition to our home. The experience was another reason that we would use Pellak again for any new projects.

After wrapping up demolition, the heat in our house registered a sensor error. It was January and in the single digits. I called Pellak to ask for advice on what might be wrong - the owner, Andrew, showed up at my door half an hour later. At 8:00 pm. He said it was too cold to try this over the phone. Andrew quickly found the issue, fixed it, then chatted with me for 40 minutes while waiting to ensure the house was warming properly.

In a single anecdote, that’s the Pellak experience: friendly, professional, and better follow through than anyone has a right to expect.

But I’m getting ahead of myself. My wife and I found Pellak through the recommendation of a friend: we had just moved into our first house and needed help visualizing how to fix our closet of a kitchen, possibly combining it with our closet of a dining room. This was a significant renovation for us and from the first conversation we appreciated Bryan’s respect for our budget. (And everything he said was true: we stayed exactly on the mark.)

Jess, Pellak’s designer, was a godsend. She listened to our ideas and needs, came up with a few plans, walked through pros and cons, then bounced mock ups back and forth with us for weeks as we refined what we like. The final plan was perfect: open, but not too open, with plenty of workspace for more elaborate projects and room to sit and talk. We never would have arrived at the layout or final details alone.

Shortly after completing the design, we met the rest of the crew who flawlessly executed on the plan with almost no need for feedback. Every person who worked on our house was wonderful - experienced, funny, patient, and were unobtrusive while I worked from home. They also all seem to genuinely love working for Pellak, which says a lot to me.

More: there were no delays, they beat their timing estimate by two weeks, stayed on budget, communicated throughout, brought us flowers and dog toys when the project wrapped up, were totally transparent and professional with pricing, and were all around fantastic to work with. I could go on, but suffice it to say they exceeded expectations across the board.

The only reason I wouldn’t recommend them is out of fear they’ll get too busy to take on our future projects. If they do, we’ll wait: Pellak is the only company we’ll be working with.

Call them. Talk to Bryan and Jess and you’ll end up working with them, too.

Thank you Pellak team!

In under 2 months, Pellak Construction completely renovated our master bedroom and attic. This included adding a full bathroom and bedroom. The crew often worked 9-10hr days and cleaned for 45mins before leaving. The work was high level as was the attention to detail. We highly recommend Pellak Construction for any project!

Our family is so thrilled we chose Pellak Construction for our kitchen and primary suite renovation. When we were looking for a contractor, we knew we wanted a one stop shop. Pellak provided us that and so much more. Our first consultation with Bryan was informative and we appreciate how transparent he was with the estimated costs. He compiled a renovation proposal, in a timely manner, and this helped us make our decision to go with the Pellak Team. Jessica was incredible in taking our design ideas and turning them into reality. Our lives are busy, and it was so nice to be able to come to the design studio and see design renderings up on the big screen and have finishes we could see, touch, and envision in the space. Jessica helped guide us through the process and was patient with any questions we had.

Actual construction was a lot less stressful than we thought it would be. Drew kept us informed and his team and subcontractors always arrived as scheduled. They even worked Saturdays if needed. We enjoyed getting to know Mike, Shane, Will, and Isaiah from Pellak Construction. Their craftsmanship was impeccable, they kept the renovation area and space around it picked-up and clean, and if we ever had any questions or concerns they answered them right away. Drew was always just a phone call or text message away, too! He frequently visited our home to make sure everything was running smoothly.

We could keep writing about how wonderful our experience was. If you are looking for quality work, good communication, and a company that truly cares about your family, Pellak Construction is the company for you. They helped make our house a home and we are so grateful for them.

We spent years both saving and planning for our 1st floor renovation. We met and got quotes from several vendors but it was clear very early on that Pellak was the right choice for us. Their ideas/innovation during the planning process were unique and well thought out. The questions they asked made it clear that they both had experience but also were thinking logistically about how the entire process would work. Pellak was not the least expensive of our quotes but they were also the only vendor that took the time and effort required to pull together a comprehensive quote and as a result there were no hidden fees or surprises to us in the end. We found this invaluable - when you are spending a large sum it is critical to have a solid idea of what those final costs will actually be. We have done several other renovations in our home to other areas and Pellak was by far the cleanest, most detail oriented and genuinely invested in the final outcome of all of our other contractors.
We love the end results, all of our family, friends and neighbors are impressed and wow'd by the work they did. You can't go wrong choosing Pellak as your contracting partner.

We had an outstanding experience working with the Pellak Constriction team whom we hired to remodel our kitchen. From the very beginning, Bryan and Jessica provided fantastic conceptual and design ideas that transformed our outdated kitchen into a modern, functional space. They took the time to listen to our needs and preferences, offering suggestions that we hadn’t even considered, but which turned out to be exactly what the space needed. The design they proposed was both aesthetically pleasing and practical, maximizing both storage and flow.

The professionalism displayed throughout the entire process was impressive. Drew and his team maintained excellent communication, keeping us updated every step of the way. They were always responsive to any questions or concerns, which made the entire project stress-free. It was clear they were committed to delivering high-quality work and ensuring we were completely satisfied with the progress.

Pellak Construction truly followed through on what they promised. Timelines were respected, and the quality of the work was top-notch from start to finish. The craftsmanship was evident in every detail, and they made sure to address any issues or adjustments promptly. The whole process felt seamless, which is rare with a renovation project of this scale.

We absolutely love our new kitchen! The layout is not only beautiful but also incredibly functional. The updated appliances and features make cooking and entertaining so much more enjoyable. It’s transformed the heart of our home, and we couldn't be happier with the results. We highly recommend Pellak Construction to anyone looking to bring their kitchen dreams to life!
